The conversations are the same every year regarding the Woodward Dream Cruise, people either love it or hate it. I have friends that make a point to go out of town every year during the Cruise. I also have friends who throw parties celebrating the classic car mayhem of the Woodward corridor.
Me? I love it. The people watching is fantastic, it brings new visitors and money to the area, and the cars are pretty cool. That said, I also live 3 miles west of Woodward and the traffic has never really affected me.
I’m going to miss the Dream Cruise this year as I am trekking up north to the Traverse City Wine & Art Festival. I’m SO excited to get out of town and explore Traverse City but part of me is sad that I won’t be here this weekend. Don’t worry, I’ll get over it.
