That’s it—summer is done and dusted. Yeah, I know. Its unofficial demise is next week and it doesn’t officially die for another month.
But. It’s pretty much over.
Luckily, we have sweatshirt weather, college football and cider mill runs to look forward to. Until then, there are still some fabulous things to do in Detroit.
1. Summer Zoomance - Party with the animals at this adults-only event at the Detroit Zoo! Leave the kids at home and enjoy adult beverages. August 23rd.
2. Hamtramck Walking Tour - The Detroit Historical Society will take you on a tour of this once Polish community that is now Michigan's most internationally diverse city. August 25th.
3. Russell Industrial Center open house (Facebook link) - Explore the center and meet the artists of this community of artists. Live music and food, too! August 25th.
4. Mack & Third LIVE - Presented by Motown recording artist KEM, this is a free concert and food drive to benefit Detroit's homeless. August 26th.
5. Oakland County International Airport Open House & Airshow - View historic and military aircraft, take a ride in a plane or helicoptor or just sit back and watch the airshow. August 26th.
Bonus: Detroit: vitaminwater uncapped
