The Spirit of Detroit's Jersey Has Shrunk

I'm very happy that the City of Detroit and the Red Wings organization came to an agreement regarding the jersey. It just wouldn't seem right if the Spirit of Detroit wasn't donning the Detroit Red Wings jersey again for the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals. And I must say, the Spirit looks fantastic since they cleaned him up.

We went down to see the Spirit of Detroit today, now that he is dressed for the finals.

I gotta admit I like the classic, flowing jersey better...but at least they kept the tradition

I agree Dominique, the classic flowing jersey was much better. At least he's wearing something, I'd hate for him to be naked during the Stanley Cup finals. It looks a bit cheap, though.

Yes, they're showing off his pecs! He does look much better since he's been cleaned up, maybe he's been working out too.

I don't think the Red Wings should be offended, they most likely purchased the too-tight jersey. But hey, it's working, the Wings can win the Stanley Cup tonight!

That jersey is way too tight and shiny. However, the important thing is that they did it because the playoffs wouldn't be the same without it. Tight or loose, go Wings and keep the cup in Detroit!!!
