Detroit Restaurant Week - Spring 2010
The spring addition of Detroit Restaurant Week begins at the end of the week, April 16-25, 2010. People have been buzzing about it for the last month, perusing menus and making reservations.
The inaugural Detroit Restaurant Week (DRW) last September was a rousing success; serving over 27,000 diners in the 17 participating Detroit Restaurants.
Each participating restaurants will offer a three-course dinner for the economical price of $27 per person (excluding beverages, tax, and tip).
Historic Roma Café in Eastern Market is a welcome addition this spring and all of the restaurants will feature spring-inspired menus.

We ended up at Coach Insignia last night. The meal was really good, if perhaps a teeny bit on the small side. Our server was excellent. We noticed that they added 20% to our bill though. I read all of the fine print on the Restaurant Week website and I didn't see that policy. Not sure if they all do this because they think a bunch of "amateurs" go to this thing and they want to protect themselves or if just Coach does it all the time. Hmmm.
Still glad that we went. The glass elevator ride up to the 72 floor was a little unnerving for me though. Thanks for the reminder about this event!
