What? It’s 50 degrees in Detroit in February? Yes! Get out there and enjoy the D because you know that this warm weather won’t last.

Weekend Roundup

1. Dinosaurs Unearthed - The largest dino exhibit ever to hit Detroit! Over 20 full size animatronic dinosaurs are featured in this multi-sensory experience at the Detroit Science Center. Be sure to check out their geocaching contest, The Great Dino Egg Hunt while you're there. Opens February 19th.

2. Empty Bowls at Pewabic Pottery - Buy an artist or student bowl (price ranges from $5-$20) and receive soup and bread from local restaurants including the Beverly Hills Grill and Russell Street Deli. This is an annual benefit raising money for Gleaner's Community Food Bank. February 19th.

3. Diverse(soup)city - More soup! Inspired by Detroit Soup and Spalding Soup, Hamtramck now has it's own version. This public dinner raises funds for community projects voted on by the participants. February 20th.

4. Women Image Culture - A multi-media group show at The Scarab Club showcasing female artists and exploring our common culture. Opening reception: February 18th, runs through March 27th.

5. Flow - Previously performed as a solo piece, the Michigan premier at The Bonstelle Theatre is an ensemble piece that promises to turn storytelling upside down. The 2/19 & 2/25 performances will have special Twitter sections where audience members are encouraged to tweet. February 18-27.

Don't forget: The Dirty Show continues through February 19th.

Bonus: Monday, February 21st is a Target Family Day at The Henry Ford. Free admission and parking!
