Now that we’re stuffed with stuffing and turkey, drowning our sorrows after another Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Day loss and pooped from the parade, it’s time to get out there and enjoy all the cool things to do in Detroit.

1. Detroit Historical Museum grand re-opening - After being closed for six months for renovations, the Detroit Historical Museum re-opens this weekend. They are open straight through from Friday morning at 9:30 a.m to Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Yep, all through the night! They'll be showing movies during the wee hours of the night. FREE! November 23—25.
2. Wayne County Lightfest - Hines Drive is lit up with more than 45 animated displays and more than one million lights. Through December 31st.
3. A Day in Paradeland - You've seen the parade, now go to the parade studios! See the floats in person, have photos taken with Santa, entertainment, face painting and more. November 24th.
4. Rare Standard (Facebook link) - Head to MotorCity Wine for musical styling of Rare Standard and listen to modern jazz while sipping on wine. November 23rd.
5. The Music of Queen - The Detroit Symphony Orchestra plays the hits—including Bohemian Rhapsody—of the legendary band Queen with Brody Dolyniuk singing the lead. November 24—25.

The Beehive Ball is tonight at the Gaelic League in Corktown from 9 - 2am. It will feature several of the Beehive artists. $20 cover at the door.
