Detroit Moxie's Weekend Roundup

I love the holidays but I’m notorious for last minute shopping. With Christmas less than two weeks away, I better get started. I’ve again included a few options to buy local—and unique—in the Weekend Roundup.

Now, if I could only find those stockings I bought four years ago when we first arrived back in Detroit. It looks like the mantle will be naked for yet another year.

Get out there and enjoy Detroit!

Weekend Roundup

1. Holiday Baar Bazaar - Head to the Majestic Theatre to get some last minute holiday shopping done while sipping on a drink and listening to live music, including I Love Lightning Bugs. Featuring crafters, artists, small businesses and more. December 14th.

2. Holiday Stroll at Belle Isle - Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory and the Belle Isle Aquarium host live music  by the Deep River Choir. Also, enjoy the holiday lights and Dutch Girl donuts and mulled cider. December 14th.

3. Metro Times + Detroit Mercantile Merry Market (Facebook link) - If you haven't checked out one of the coolest new shops in the city—the Detroit Mercantile Co.—this is a great time to do it! Featuring 20 Detroit and Michigan based art, design & vintage vendors plus food trucks and beverages. December 15—16.

4. Puppet Scrooge - The Matrix Theatre Company’s annual twist on A Christmas Carol is Detroit-centric and fun for the entire family. December 14—16.

5. Brunch with Bach - Enjoy brunch and Igor Stravinsky's Rite of Spring in the confines of the beautiful Detroit Institute of Arts. December 16th.

Bonus: Pop-up shops in Corktown

Bonus: Coffee and (Christmas Movies) featuring Elf and Bad Santa

If there are properly made computer labs in an educational institute, the students who do not have computers or laptops in their homes can easily have the access of such need within the institute. In this way, they can easily do their tasks related to studies.
