Detroit Moxie's Weekend Roundup
Now in its third year at The Henry Ford, Maker Faire has become one of our favorite events in Detroit. Both adults and kids will enjoy the demonstrations, inventions and hands-on activities.
Highlights of Maker Faire include the Coke and Mentos Guys, a life-size Mousetrap game, a Lego Brick Challenge Game Show and Handmade Detroit and other local crafters. There is something for everyone at Maker Faire!

I'm waiting for the PC implant ... see my screen anywhere, type and click with my mind! And a projector that plugs into my earlobe in case I want to share it.
Teleportation device for sure. They always say "the journey is more important than the destination". But whoever said that clearly never spent a combined total of 36 hours on 3 different flights, IN COACH, (in the center seat of the center aisle on all 3 flights) trying to get to Malaysia from Detroit for a wedding. To do that, is to truly know hell.
A solar powered bicycle
A transporter, like in Star Trek.
I'd love a George Jetson style car...no freeway back-ups and no worries about parking either! That's a win-win in my book! Looks like a great weekend! I'll be at Maker Faire on Saturday with friends from PA (coming in just for Maker Faire!) going to spend Sunday downtown!
I would like to see self healing black top. So we would never have to hit them again...
A ray gun.
Instantly create an environment where you want to be, such as at a music concert, sports game, theater, with friends, relaxation such as a spa or water park/pool/hot tub. Anyhow you get the picture of whereever, whenever, and however.
I'd like to see a hover-craft skateboard or scooter that runs on solar energy.
I would like to see a personal transportation device. Sometimes I just hate having to drive to work or the store. But i'm pretty sure that isn't going to happen in my lifetime at least. I would really love to see everything biodegradable, because I do not want this planet to be filled with waste for my grandchildren, I want them to be able to enjoy it just as much as I have.
I want to have a car that can fly someday. One that would run on some alternative form of energy so that we wouldn't deplete our non renewable resources anymore.
I think it would be cool to have "living roofs" all over the world! Maybe then I could have a garden that all the critters didnt eat! LOL!
I always liked all of the Jetson's gadgets - like the closet the dressed you or the oven that cooked or baked what you said.
Not terribly creative, but I really want my phone to automatically transcribe voicemails into text messages. I just can't bring myself to listen to voicemails and I love the weird phonetic mistakes that transcription makes. It would make the world more poetic.
I would like to see an invention that solves the problem of plastic pollutants that already exist in our environment.
I would love to teleport so I'd never have to deal with airports again!
TARDIS!
Affordable jetpack. As the crow flies it would take me 3 minutes to get to work!
Please, please..............as a kid I looked forward to a future with jetpacks!
A matrix style learning device that allows you to download anything you want to learn directly into your own memory
Automatic toilet seat sensor - puts it up when men walk in the bathroom, puts it down when they leave
