Detroit Moxie's Weekend Roundup

Happy Easter and happy Passover! We have tons of bunny-related events happening in metro Detroit this weekend. So hop on to it and get out there and enjoy Detroit!

Weekend Roundup

1. Nerd Nite 313 - Everybody has a bit of a nerdy side! Join in the fun for the launch event in Detroit with presentations from Micha Adams from Detroit Flyhouse, Amy Elliott Bragg from Detroit Drunken Historical Society, and Charles Gibson from the Michigan Science Center! March 28th.

2. Wayne County Marshmallow Drop - The Easter Bunny is scheduled to fly over Elizabeth Park & Hines Park on Friday dropping 20,000 marshmallows! March 29th.

3. Bunnyville at the Detroit Zoo - Head to the Detroit Zoo for the 22nd annual egg-stravaganza featuring a golden egg hunt with great prizes, games, crafts, live entertainment, animal enrichment activities, zookeeper talks and much more! March 30th.

4. Easter Fun Fest - The Detroit Recreation Department puts on the annual fest at Belle Isle Casino for toddlers through 12-year-olds featuring carnival games, face painting, inflatables, crafts, prizes and more. March 30th.

5. Urban Pheasant Egg Hunt Party - Taking place at The Old Miami, this egg hunt is for adults. The fundraiser benefits Urban Pheasant Glassworks. DJ's, games, glassblowing demos and an "egg hunt." March 30th.

There will be a 97th Birthday Celebration and Fundraiser for the historic Skinner Organ at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Detroit, which is located on the corner of Cass and Forest in Detroit, MI. If you love music, Detroit history, theatre, wine, food, or auctions then you should be all over this!

A concert of organ, flute, and vocals will be given on April 6, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring Grampa Jenkins from SideBar Black Art Theatre of Detroit. The event will be catered by Harmonie Garden Detroit.

Free tickets can be reserved at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/5555939966. Donations will be accepted at the door. Wine, cheese and food will be available for purchase, and a silent auction will be held.
